No.
Do any employees, analysts, financial consultants of Stock and Option Trades invest in the stocks or options prior to presenting them to subscribers?

Are there any "hidden" costs involved in a Stock and Option Trades subscription?
None whatsoever.
What risks are associated with options trading?
Every investment has associated risks. We will detail a Target Exit Point and a Contingency Exit Plan for each and every Trade Alert in order to safely manage risk. (You can also request a copy of the Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options from the www.theocc.com).
Are your trades guaranteed?
Risk is associated with any investment and so trades are not guaranteed.
However, we will attempt to minimize losses or maintain profits through our Contingency Exit Plans if a trade moves against initial expectations.
When a new subscriber first joins, how do you recommend beginning? Should a new subscriber simply enter all of the Trade Alerts as they come up, or ease into it by buying only a selected number of recommendations?
It is always a good idea to do your own due diligence on any given position. We encourage each subscriber to research the stock and determine his/her own expectations of what trend is likely to occur. We encourage all subscribers to determine their own risk tolerance level and adhere to it strictly. It’s rarely a good idea to be over-exposed to any one position. Additional capital requirements may be associated with Contingency Exit Plans, which will be detailed and we encourage each subscriber to consider that prior to trade entry. Finally, our Service is for educational purposes only! None of Stock & Option Trades' commentary whether via the Blog, Trade Alert, Trade Update, Market Maven or email is advice to buy or sell anything.
Does Stock and Option Trades provide specific targets and/or stop losses?
Yes, we do detail a Target Exit Point and a Contingency Exit Plan for each Trade Alert. We do not believe in stop losses because they imply, well, losses! This is contrary to our philosophy. In addition stop losses may not protect you in the event of a big gap down.
When are Trade Alerts disseminated?
Trade Alerts are sent via e-mail to subscribers once a week, usually on a Sunday evening or prior to market open on Monday morning. In certain circumstances we reserve the right to delay your Trade Alert to a trading day later in that same trading week. This may be due to an upcoming Federal Reserve policy announcement, an economic report of significance, an earnings announcement or some other factor that is specific to that timeframe. We strive to identify profitable trades with high probability of success. As a result, certain market circumstances or conditions may necessitate that a Trade Alert is delayed to a latter part of the week.
When are we as subscribers made aware of a trade adjustment?
Trade Updates will be sent via email prior to any adjustments being made.
Is it necessary to check my email for Trade Alerts and/or Trade Updates during market hours?
No, it is not necessary. In very rare cases, an "intra-day" Trade Alert or Trade Update may be sent via email, but only if there are extenuating circumstances such as a day with particularly large volume or an unexpected news event.
How much in losses should I tolerate so that I am not discouraged if this happens?
Our Trading System comprises a Contingency Exit Plan that details adjustments designed to turn the trade profitable should the initial trade move against expectations. Over time our system of adjustments is intended to get you back to profitability so time cost should be your only loss if the trade requires an adjustment. As with any investment, losses may occur. Stock and Option Trades encourages subscribers to be patient and stick with the program EVEN if some losses do occur. Gains from the Stock and Options Trades system have consistently outweighed any losses for those who are patient and follow the program over time. As any good investor knows, losses may occur, but the important thing is to keep them smaller than your gains.
What percentage of my assets should I invest in a Trade Alert?
There is no specific amount that is recommended, however, no subscriber should ever invest more than 5%-10% of his/her account in any Trade Alert!
Should all my positions be hedged?
We encourage risk mitigation through hedging at all times.
What size investment account is needed in order to use the Stock and Option Trades system effectively?
The proper size of your investment account is the size that will properly diversify your tolerance for risk.
I cannot afford to enter every Trade Alert that is recommended, in other words, I cannot "duplicate" the Stock and Option Trades portfolio, how then do I choose the "best" positions to invest in?
Our system is designed from the standpoint that we expect our trades to close at a profit through either a Target Exit Point or a Contingency Exit Plan. With that in mind our expectation is that whatever trade you enter it will make money. You can certainly virtual/paper trade all of our trades.
How many Trade Alerts are there in the portfolio at any given time?
We disseminate a Trade Alert each week. We don’t believe most investors have the time or capital to track Trade Alerts each and every day. Our rigorous methodology is designed to spot high probability trades that are tracked through to completion. Please always trade or invest within your own personal risk parameters.
Does it matter whether I begin trading in a bull or bear market?
Our system is designed to profit irrespective of market movement, even it it’s flat!
Do I have to enter every Trade Alert to take advantage of the entire system?
Not at all. We encourage you to do your own due diligence on each Trade Alert, evaluate your own risk tolerance and capital requirements and trade accordingly.
In what ways does the Stock and Option Trades system control risk?
Risk is controlled by adhering to the following risk mitigation methods:
Diversification- Stocks are diversified. Our trading system encompasses the entire market. We look at all areas including technology, healthcare, energy, finance, defense, blue chip and so forth.
Exit Strategies- Target Exit Point and Contingency Exit Plan.
Hedging – Every position is hedged to ensure that we are never overly biased in one direction.
Optionable: Every stock we trade is optionable so that we can hedge every position entered.
How are the Trade Alerts determined each week?
Stock and Option Trades analyzes the market on many dimensions including fundamental, technical and sentimental criteria as well as factoring in imminent economic events, upcoming earnings and news events before rigorously testing each Trade Alert against our proprietary criteria to optimize the reward versus risk ratio.
Do you only trade options?
No. While some of our Trade Alerts may comprise just options trades initially, others will combine both stock and options combined as a hedged position.
How many picks are there?
Each week a new Trade Alert is disseminated. In addition we track every open Trade Alert until completion through regular Trade Updates.
Are there any other resources I can use to learn more?
Absolutely, we encourage you to learn as much as you can and sites like the CBOE.com should prove helpful to you. Also, you can also get a copy of the Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options from the www.theocc.com.
Is it possible to have the Trade Alerts or Trade Updates email sent to two different addresses?
Unfortunately, only one email address can be entered per account.
How long should I keep a Trade Alert if it fails to achieve its Target Exit Point?
We encourage our subscribers to adjust their trades based on our detailed Contingency Exit Plan if the position fails to meet its Target Exit Point. Through this system it is possible to achieve profits in the trade, just not as quickly as was initially intended. Our philosophy is that if you accept losses you may end up at the end of the year with a loss however if you adjust a losing position into a winning position then the only cost to you is time and you can still end the year at a profit! Of course, you can close the position at any time if you prefer.
If I am going out of town for a couple of days, or even weeks, should I sell all of my positions before I leave?
If you know you will be away you may wish to skip a Trade Alert. If you are going out of town or on vacation it may be preferable that you do not place a new trade if you cannot adequately monitor the trade; you are responsible for your trades.
Do subscribers have any significant influence on the price movement of Trade Alerts?
That depends. We usually look at companies with market capitalizations in excess of $1B, which have plenty of liquidity and institutional ownership. This mitigates the risk of one service moving the market.
What kind of subscription options are offered?
We offer the convenient 30 Day recurring charge. Every 30 days your credit card will be charged $49.95 USD.
